Generically Untitled: Creepy Fortunes
This strip is brought to you by Weird Faux Chinese Fortunes. The faux is meant for the fact that fortune cookies are not, in fact, Chinese. (I am also far too lazy to find legit sources to prove this fact.)
It is also questionable whether this person was actually taking drugs before having that fortune. Ah, who cares.

CREEEEPY. This is poor quality due to webcam. (Will scan it or something later...)
Have trouble believing that fortune is real?? Well actually...I had this one from some random Asian food study break from PSAC - Pierson Student Activities Committee. Hooray for late night free food! (before I get sick and feel miserable, that is.)

As for life...it is making me too sensitive to how fragile life can be. Given that I also tend to have "panic attacks" about death at least once per year...this is kinda scary and a little enlightening to me. I sometimes wish I can draw these in comic form but the 4-panel format leaves little to the imagination. Also...I am too self-conscious. The only death in the family that I experienced was that of my grandfather on my mom's side...but even then, I was too young to totally feel. The only thing I can do now is meditate on such events.
...but life goes on. Midterms are just as unforgiving. Vacations...still very far off but will be too short when they come and go. I apparently also racked up my emo quota for this week...

B.S. Comics: Halloween
TBH I dunno why I even distinguish BS Comics and Generically Untitled this year. They are more or less the same to me...I just hope I get some inspiration from American humor or something real soon...
But here is my halloween comic!

The censor button is supposed to show that I supposedly had drawn something so offensive that it had to be hidden. But really, I just kinda got lazy. Also IMAGINING the thing by yourself is even more traumatizing. ...dunno who Akhil Amar is? Well here is his wikipage.

The fourth panel was not derived from anything I liked...it came from a small convo bit I had with Jacob from the Yale Record about Halloween costume ideas...and one of the things suggested was a "sexy professor" due to the overuse of the word SEXY for any costume to makei it more...Halloween-fitting? IDK America is weird.
Apparently I need to learn now to draw more American funny comics instead of the animu-ish Asian style humor...I guess I need to start abandoning biochem to watch some Comedy Central standups...which I kinda fail at watching because everyone watches Bravo or football in the Pierson/Dport gym lol. Plus, I kinda like watching Food Network during my gym sessions...
Well, Happy Halloween guys! I actually won't be dressed up this year but I hope I'll still have fun :)

Generically Untitled: POKEMONS.
Pokemon + Transformers = Awesome Nerdy Joke? Yep!

Pretend I can draw Optimus Prime. All the google image search results gave me the recent Michael Bay stuff (which is damn hard to draw), or really small 1980s screencaps. I tried hydbridizing.
I hope I get to hear some good come out of this one at least. I EVEN CHECKED POKEMON BATTLE LOGIC! How can you tell? Well Ditto can transform to things that it is BATTLING against. So I added filler Jigglypuff after reading. And why Pikachu?
Well...whether you like it or not, Pikachu is the most well-recognized thing in that Franchise.
Next time, Herald Comics. Seeya!
PS: After I submitted this comic to the editor, I realized that this joke had been made at least TWO YEARS AGO (courtesy of a nerd friend who reads this stuff). ...god I feel so damn unoriginal. But at least I am not gettin' money off it?
PPS: Yes, ROLLOUT is both a Pokemon move and a Transformers catch phrase.
Still...ehhhhhhh.

Art Dump: PERSPECTIVE
...TIMING! Uh not really haha. (I just love these video series. Angry silly critic ftw?)
I have one art post to break my trend of fail today!
The picture was drawn as an art trade with a friend of mine...the character's name is Travis...ehehe >v> ALSO, I hopefully will have better comics this week than last week too...
Anyway...cya guys!

Generically Untitled/Yale Record/Random: ABSOLUTE INTERNET CRAP
You know its a bad comic when a bunch of sad Yale nerds criticize the comic RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU while eating lunch (But tbh those people didn't know that I drew the thing). Not that I am saying it was a good comic (it really wasn't), but that is the degree of how awful this is.
...what I think happened was the purpose of the comic got so obscure that most readers will never get it. Now with hindsight, I realize that the purpose was so bad that I am not going to say it. Nope. Let's say that it just involves an existing comic series that I read. UGHHHH.

THE ONLY AWARD THIS WILL GET IS THAT IT IS THE WORST LINK COMIC EVER. THE PURPOSE WAS NOT EVEN ABOUT LINK WTF. I AM TERRIBLE. Even the quality of the drawing (which is horrible) does not make up for this. The other WTF comic published by the random YDN editor/cartoonists make it only marginally bearable. WTFFFF.
To quote the person who bashed my comics to ashes "Vulcan chick? How the eff does this terrible Star Trek gotta do with Link and the comic?????"

An unfunny comic artist working for the Yale Record??? SHE'S A WITCH. BUT PLEASE DO GO GRAB THIS INTERNET ISSUE (I just did Design for this issue due to sheer lack of free time to draw stuff. Def will draw for the next one!)

OKAY HERE IS AN ACTUAL GOOD LINK-RELATED COMIC SITE JUST TO HELP YOU COPE WITH MY BAD. I AM SORRY.
...PS: I actually thought this looked good when I drew it and wow...what was I thinking? CAPS. Beautiful, huh?
PPS: I only read about Zelda and Star Trek stuff and not really a hardcore fan. CLEARLY. If I disappear from campus that is because the campus nerd squad has kidnapped and "did away" with me for my blasphemy.
...Here are some other things I did along with my horrible comic to make this post a little better. *SOB*

B.S. Comics: Induced Fit
Way to busy/tired to make a full update...just read the info behind the joke here.
Thinking back on what B.S. Comics was originally made of, I have no idea how these sort of kinda-cute, random comics came to be. Maybe time will tell...
Another thing, my biochem prof approved of this comic (and gave interpretation of it!) when I sent it to check whether this was scientifically sound:
Bottom line: Yale is awesome.

Thank you for this comic, I indeed think it is done well. And not random at all, we covered this in lecture, after all.
And here the more scientific interpretation:
Upon initial substrate/enzyme interaction, the binding pocket alters its conformation (note the gap in panel 3) to achieve optimum surface contact (panel 4). I therefore agree that this is an example for induced fit. Affinity seems to be high.
All the best,
Thomas Biederer
YAYYYYYYYYY.
